2019 ram pops out of reverse

My 2019 ram pops out of reverse and the r flashes on the dashboard and the please put in park and select the gear shows up. It's a 2019 ram 1500 3.6 l. If I baby it it will go into reverse and move if I have to step on it as to go up a hill or just move quickly it automatically pops out of reverse and puts itself in neutral.

Check engine light also on with a internal transmission failure code I will be taking it to the dealer on Tuesday. 45,000 miles on truck

Probably a valve body/TCM issue, the dealership will probably change the valve body assembly which also contains the TCM.

Dealer just called. Filing the paperwork with ram to switch out the transmission. Said they hard to come by may be awhile before I get truck back.

Almost a week with new transmission and so far so good. No shifting problems at all.

~2-3 weeks for a new transmission doesn’t seem to bad. Glad it’s working again for ya. Warranty I hope.
