So there are thick 5w30's out there that you can compare to redline in thickness, both great hths and cSt. There are some more as well. Feel free to check those prices. Redline has been 83 for 6 quarts for nearly a year amazon. Many of the competitors that have high hths and cSt are all much more then redline, only m1esp is a better deal, but still redline's prices are within reasonabilty. If you compare redline to the walmart shelf, yeah problem, but if you compare it to every single high hths 5w30 oil, it falls within the cheapest of those oils.

what is the best high hths 5w30 for hemi's if we consider price? can we get a high hths and a cheap price?

Look at this oil.

So what does all of the great 5w30's have in common? They are the ones built for the Porsche and Mercedes Specs. Talk about an oil for a hemi for the lubegard strategy, I doubt you can beat PP Euro L when you want a budget option. American api friendly 5w30 oils are all thin, they all changed their operating oils to represent the low end of the 30 weight rating, but the German friendly formulas are all thick.

This is such a joke, it is "europe" who are the "enlightened ones" but in the end they just were successful at making us screw ourselves on oil viscosity while they sit back and run the thickest stuff out there. The German auto makers spec heavy oils, I havent looked but I bet bmw and even VW follows suit. But you know if it is md and porsche friendly specs, it is will thick stay in grade 30 weight oils.

just look at the pennzoil euro's and their specs, the lightest oil is 11.9 and that is a 0w30 and as high as 12.5. And PUP 5w30 is now 10.3, PP thin as pizz 9.8. So all of the euro options run about 2 FULL points thicker? like wt-heck??

Climate Change my az, they are simply laughing at how dumb we are.

Same difference between HPL's Premium Plus and Super Car, which is why I recommended only Super Car.

Except I rambled on too long and talked about all the spec differences. Thanks for making it clear.

ok that was Pennzoil, how about mobil 1.

m1 Truck and Suv oil american specs cSt viscosity 10

m1 EP cSt 10.3

m1 esp euro 11.8

Yeah, truck and suv sounds tough? Not so much.

So should we be looking at euro oils as much better hemi choices then what we are used to? They do often omit moly in those, so perhaps why I say add some LG. But the viscosities arent close, euro oils have more protection.

Mobil 1 did just reformulate their entire API line. Their using thicker base oils and less VII. More moly as well around 100 ppm. Whatever their doing they look good on paper. That truck and suv 5w30 has a 500 degree flash point FWIW
