Good evening gents,
My name is Scott I am a plumber & gas fitter based out of norther Alberta Canada. I HAD a really nice 2012 RAM 1500 sport with 220kms until Nov 2 2022. It was stolen along with 95% of my tools, my phone, a camera, plus a bunch of other stuff. Really knocked me down a few pegs. I was actually in love with that truck. I had owned a 2009 GMC Sierra hybrid & a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado but that RAM sport kicked the crap out of both or them (& the ford platinum we used to drive up in the Yukon for a work truck).
Needless to say it was a bitter pill to swallow when I did finally get a call on Dec 30 that my truck had been found. It was stolen from a First Nation reservation while I (thought) I was assisting a family in need of water in the middle of a blizzard. Needless to say it was completely destroyed & contaminated with fentanyl & ****.
Rest In Peace old friend. We made memories that I never thought possible & you NEVER ONCE left me stranded. Even the time I snapped a CV axle. I won’t ever forget the hard kilometres we put in together in pursuit of plumbing excellence & adventures across the land!
I did (finally) get some insurance money. After a few months I was able to purchase a RAM 2015 SXT. Only 90,000 KMS. I test drove it for an hour. Scanned it. Got right under it, got right in the engine bay. It seemed like a good deal. At any rate after about ten days I got a p0208, I cleared it. About an hour later I got p0308 & she was skipping around. What are the odds I just bought a lemon?
I really enjoy reading the posts in here they helped me change my PCV & other random things on my last truck. I still love the power, space, rugged look & cabin of the RAM. I’m hoping I didn’t just sign up for an unplanned cam/lifter job…..
