My 2022 3500 with just 13,000 miles has sprung a leak. It started dripping from the back dome light. Woke up this morning & drove to work (in the rain) & no leaks so far. Could this be due to the temperature swing we've had? We were in the single digits one week now we are up to the mid 40's. I know on the 4th gen HD's there were several that complained of a leak & they discovered that it was coming in through the 3rd brake light. Maybe this is what happened to me? Since it's still raining I haven't dug into it yet. And I am not going to wait at the steelership for hours unless I just absolutely have to.

Like most, my dealer is completely worthless! I have been to them multiple times, waited many hours, only to find myself fixing whatever the issue is. On this issue it looks like the seal is not thick enough around the 3rd brake light. With the screws as tight as they will go there still appears to be movement between the light & the cab. I have added some silicone & so far so good. I'll have to wait for a heavy rain or the car wash to know for sure though.

I's suggest to not wait.
Remove the third brake light assembly, scrape off the OEM seal.
Clean the body on the roof area and the third brake light with some alcohol.

Put a new seal on the third brake light, then use some quality outdoor rated silicone and lay a thin bead on the body where the gasket presses up on it so you have a good sealing base for the gasket to snug up to when screwing down the third brake light assembly.

This by far is the easiest and most convenient of leak spots to remedy on our trucks.

Good to go!
Then you'll have a half dozen more places to look for water ingress should you still have issues ;)

Exactly what I’ll be doing when my new one arrives. Waaayyyy too many stories on here…. I don’t want to be another one of them!
