If you want to emulate what a pedal commander does and improve your throttle change two settings in AlfaOBD:

To Change go into AlfaOBD and follow the steps below:

Body Control Module -> Diagnostics -> Car Configuration Change

ECUConfig14 /Acceleration Threshold: Filter Off

ECUConfig14 /Acceleration Factor: Filter Off

This made a huge difference in my throttle response. I've seen a few people debating whether it actually does anything but I can confirm that if you set it to those settings you will feel a difference in throttle.
I really like this setting. Thank you. It feels like my peddle is connected to my throttle with a cable. There is no lag from when I press the gas peddle and the throttle opening up.

I have driven my truck with these settings all week. I am just cautious with my peddle, but I still like this setting. The peddle is there if I need it.

Alphaobd is the program that allows you to make changes to the bcm like a dealer does, to add features to your truck after you have added the necessary part for the feature to work. Like adding heated and cooled seats or the global window down features just a couple myself i have added heated and cooled seats ATC (automatic temp control) remote start (John Lance off fb )added Bluetooth hands free phone and audio controls. Also upgraded to the UAQ carplay radio from the ra1 i had a bearbones 2017 ram 1500 express which is now relabeled THE EXPRESSplus lol Also Alittle plug for @Mpgrimm2 of M2mods Assisted with all the harnesses i needed for it all to work and some great customer service .

Is it because its a 2011?

This option must not be available for your truck year.

Anyone have a list of things I can do with AlfaObd on a 2011?

What happens if you click in the find setting box?

On my '21, a window pops up and I can scroll through a large list of options.

.

Sounds like the older trucks don't have this setting. My 2013 comes up with nothing if I type "accel", I have the Android version

I like Pedal Commander for its ability to activate and deactivate with the push of a button. I enjoyed having it on Sport mode when I drove the truck, but now that my wife is the primary driver I have it deactivated for her because she doesn't care about acceleration or throttle response. If I do drive it somewhere I can turn it back on easily.
Oh... Good point... I need to figure out how to tie this to almost a "red key" situation...

She does NOT need faster response...

I want...

May just be that some trucks don't change as much, was debating getting one of those but from what ive heard they can cause issues on the CAN bus over time. My next step will be an ECM upgrade, either a pulsar or a diablo one.
Did some research into Pulsar, apparently they are pretty good, until they brick themselves/your ECM...

Risk with having something "futz" with the signals AT the ECM, and they are not much cheaper than just unlocking your ECU, and doing a proper Diablo/HPTuners. (I have an '18, so I have to unlock before I can do anything)

I could find nothing related to Pedal, Acceleration,or threshold for my 2010, unless it's called something cryptic, or one of the general options in car configuration I do dont think it is avaliable for 2012 or older CGMs

Edit: autocorrecvt changed don't to do in my post. Corrected now.

I did the accel changes to the BCM on my '16. Just driving like an old fart, there seems to be a little difference. But if get "aggressive" with the pedal, there is a huge boost in response. Me likey.

Like stock when parking, is a good thing.

Did the change when I left work yesterday, my '18 seemed more responsive this morning. Less of the "I need a second to get all this steel moving" from a standstill.

I thought it was just the mass of the engine/crank/w/e took a second to get moving before it could provide more power to the tranny, not a stupid S-Curve on the pedal.

I removed my PC back in December due to the cold seemingly causing glitches in my system and the truck kept going into limp mode. After removing it, I did some research, and found out that it was probably caused either by me messing with it while driving, or by the cold causing the connectors to separate ever-so-slightly as to cause voltage changes as the heat blew on them and they warmed up. In anycase, I decided to leave it out for the time being, but I did find the OP here, and made the mod using Alpha... Yesterday, I decided what the heck - it's warming up - so I reconnected my PC into the system - and if you think the PC was good by itself - damnnnnn - YOU NEED to make the mod AND use the PC at the same time! In Sport mode, it's like driving in Sport+... I haven't even tried Sport+ at this point... Actually a little scared to. ;) If you do this - please post the results - 'cause I'd like to know if I'm just crazy or if it really is like a demon being unleashed!
