I'm not sure if my cover would meet the bill. It might be a bit out of the price point you specified.
Exacta Trifecta 2.0
Aluminum construction and and one piece construction.
The cool thing about it is that if the tarp ripped you can have it replaced without having to...
Count me in as someone not a fan of the new grill either. I would rather they use the Ram symbol on the front and tone down the size of the RAM on the tailgate. Nothing wrong with promoting the RAM brand. Perhaps RAM can become like GMC. Jeep brand will have their products and all of the Chryler...
Thanks...
I ended up finding that thread on the window deflectors. I think I will try out a full set of the in channel Weathertech ones. Seems to make for a cool look and some added functionality.
I picked up the Mopar bug deflector and Mopar mud flaps today. They seem pretty hefty and...
Another vote here for Weathertech.
My Outdoorsman came with nice Mopar mats which were part of the package. The rear mat is really nice and gives good coverage. However, the fronts left a lot of carpet open to the elements.
I found a pair of used Weathertechs that would fit my Quad Cab. Front...
My Brother-In-Law's boss owns an auto shop and he swears by Weathertech. When he checked out my Ram before I bought it we talked about various upgrades and he raved about the Weathertech mudflaps he put onto his 2016 Ram Sport.
I can't remember the last time I spoke to someone who had a...
Thanks. I do agree that they look cool. FWIW, I got Weathertech mats for my truck and I cannot believe the quality of them. In light of that I would lean towards Weathertech should I try out a set of window deflectors on my quad cab.
Weird question... What is the benefit of these window deflectors? I guess you can crack your windows open without rain coming in. Does it also reduce buffeting at speed? Just wondering about the rationale.
Thanks for all the feedback gang. My co-worker sold his nearly new Eco Diesel Laramie so I got a crazy deal on his chrome Mopar bug deflector and mud flaps.
I guess I will try the chrome for now. Worst case scenario I paint the thing black or in the color of the truck.
It seems there is some...
Great topic!
I have an Extang Trifecta 2.0
I looked at the velcro type of soft covers and went with this trifold. Was about $100 more CDN $ than some of the velcro style ones I looked at but felt it was worth spending more $. It always looks the same and I don't have to worry about...
Interesting... I have seen a few Rams around town with the Duratracs and they look pretty cool on the truck.
The dealer put new Wrangler All Season Adventure With Kevlar. LT with E load rating. I have only used them on road so far. Rain performance seems decent. Winter is coming sooner than...
Thanks for all the feedback; much appreciated. :)
I will look into the AVS hood deflector. There seems to be several models. I am in Canada so I will pop into my local action trucks location to check out their goodies. 16Laramie4wd, does that deflector provide some extra protection for the...
So...
Still new to this Ram thing. I want to add a hood deflector to my truck.
If I were to go chrome I would want to go with the official Mopar one:
If I were to go tinted then I could go with Mopar, Weathertech etc.
So... Go for the tinted or add a dash of chrome...
Would you go with tweeters in the dash and bass midrange in the front doors? I did that in the hhr and it works well.

No budget yet. I guess ideally about 1000 if I can reuse my sub drivers and the amp. Interesting thought about using the amp on the front abd letting the factory head unit just drive the rear door speakers. Then I would be out for a mono or hard core 2 channel amp for the subs.

Thanks for the responses; much appreciated.
The drivers in my current bassworx box are Infinitys (not sure of the model number). I will pull one out soon and take a pic of it. If I can reuse these drivers in that bassworx box made for the Ram then that would be great. Otherwise I could follow...
This is an interesting option. This is a specific enclosure from Bassworx. I guess I could take my 2 Infinity drivers from my existing enclosure and use them in this one:
Truck Specific: - Bassworx

I wonder if that gives a...
Hi All,
New Ram owner here. I should be taking delivery of this in a day or two:
It has the larger screen with back up camera. Navigation is being added (was worth the $ to me to have it activated):
What I would like to do is keep the head unit in the truck and replaced the 6...
Hi Nick,
I am in South Western Ontario (Guelph). However, when I drove this truck I was in your fine city every week or so (well I went through it anyways).
GO RIDERS! :favorites13:
Edit: It is a cloth interior BTW...
Thanks for the info...
I had seen some of the Husky mats as I was looking for the Weathertech ones. I will check them out.
As for the audio system... I have an amp and subwoofer I am pulling out of my car. I will see if the amp could be used with the system in the truck. I will do some...
Roger that...
It sounds like the part time system is better suited for off road use or in very specific applications like getting down my road when it is just overloaded with snow or is in need of plowing.
Luckily there is a limited slip as part of the package so that will work well in...
Thanks for the info. Luckily the truck comes with limited slip so I will save the 4 x 4 use for the really bad snow we get on our street in the winter. Could i still use this on the highway or only slow 4 x 4 use (eg off road, getting out of my drive way etc)?

Thanks for all the replies and advice folks! I was wondering where the thread had gone but an attentive moderator obviously saw that it was better here in the introduction forum. I hope to take delivery this coming Monday and then my wife and I can go find a trailer! Now to do some research on...
Hi,
First time truck owner here. I just bought a 2013 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman and I am looking forward to putting it to work. I will be commuting with this and also towing a small travel trailer. The trailer will either be a Rockwood Roo 19 or a similar "hybrid" travel trailer around 19' to 20'...
