Noticing the other day that my steering from 12oclock to 1 is dead then it randomly catches. If you go the opposite way there is no slack at all. Going down the highway you can wiggle the wheel from 12-1 maybe a little more without it doing anything. What do you think it is?
I have KO2’s on my 14 2500. They are on the Laramie 18” wheels 275/70r18 and they were $900 out the door here. I have 15,000 miles on and all tires still have tits! I run 60psi in all tires. Tire guy I know said they last longer not filled to 80psi
on a 6.4 hemi has anyone on here noticed any fuel mileage change with aftermarket exhaust? I have a k&n drop in air filter and a 87 octane tune. I always average right at 14 and 16.5 on the highway hand calculated. Wondering if I’d see much change as long as I kept my foot out of it lol
Just rolled 130,000 on my 14 tradesmen 6.4. I have a tune on it to turn off mds. Other than that I love the truck! I put 450 miles on it this weekend and hand calculated mpg was 16.2. Im happy with that out of a 3/4 ton gas!
local dealer got some tradesmen 6.4’s in with the new body style and man it’s tempting to trade my 14 6.4 in. But i probably will wait a little while since I’m only at 130,000 miles on this thing! I wanna see if I can make it to 200k. How many others are feeling the same way I am? Lol
I used to always think my evic was fairly close Cause I checked it once and it was close. So I decided to check it on a regular basis. 7 weeks 2500 miles evic ranges from 15.2-16mpg and hand calculating I’ve never got better than 13.2. I drive a mix of highway and city. Crazy it’s that far off
Let’s see pics of your guys trucks!
I have a 2014 6.4 hemi I use it mainly as a daily driver but work construction so the bed gets used regularly and pulls a 20’ job trailer loaded down! 126k on the dash
I also had a 2013 Silverado 1500 5.3 and towed a 20’ enclosed trailer loaded with construction tools. Weighs 7500lbs. It was all that truck could do!! I upgraded to a 2014 ram 2500 6.4 and it doesn’t even know it’s back there! It truely is unreal the jump in power, stability and ride when towing!
I do love it when I set a 2-3,000lb skid in the bed and it barely squats! Our other company truck is a 2015 f350 6.7 and it doesn’t take loads in the bed as good as the ram 2500
I used to just add 1qt at 4,000 miles then by the time 8,000 hit I’d just get a oil change. But slowly using a little more than that now. I love the 6.4 tho after owning gm 6.0 ram 5.7 and ford 6.2 it’s my favorite 2500 gas for sure!
I have 124k on the clock and normally on a 7-8,000 mile oil change I have to add 1-2qts of oil. Well I have 3500 miles since last oil change and I pulled the dip stick and it was barely on the dip stick. Put a qt and a half to get it back in the middle of the safe zone. Recently talked to...
5-10 mph light variable wind, average speed 65mph. Keep it under 75 it does good. For the last 40 miles I had the cruise set on 84mph and it was starting to drink the fuel. I have 3:73 gears, crew cab short bed with loaded tool box and had a dog box in the back hauling a dog to get bred. I’m...
Took my 6.4 from northern Indiana to south eastern Ohio this weekend. Mix of two lane and interstate driving. I did the math and hand calculations were within .2 of the evic! I was very happy with it
Here in Indiana we are getting a cold spell of -20 and windchills in the -40s. I put a container of heet in the gas tank tonight and wondered if any of you guys do that to your gassers?
Almost two years ago I bought a ‘14 ccsb 6.4 tradesmen with 80k miles for $24,000. I have 120k on it now and not a issue! I think these 6.4 are made to last. Most ppl that ride with me think it’s new
any one use fluid film to coat their truck in the rust belt? My 14 is slowly starting to rust on the passenger side rear bedside inner lip. Hoping this stuff slows it down atleast
