I'm not finished, but I've made a ton of progress. Worked through a ton of bugs and it is finally coming together.
The DSR1 in universal mode is finally working. I don't have everything calibrated yet... but at least I'm moving forward finally and know how to treat the signal from the radio...
I've been trying for over a month now to get my stereo going.
I have a 2019 Dodge Ram 8.5 display with the base 6 speaker system. I've been told that device under the seat is an amp and I've also been told it it's just a noise cancellation device. Somehow I need to figure out what it is and...
I'm almost finished with my install. Just waiting for the DSR1. I have a few speaker mounts still to make, but it's all wired up for the most part with new speaker wire and a couple amps. Can't wait. (Note: the 8.5 display and/or core speaker build still has DSR1 issues that make it unusable...
The update did not fix my issues (base 6 speaker stereo). But they are getting a unit like mine in on Monday and hopefully I'll have good news next week too!
My rig is sitting with new speaker wire hanging free in the door, waiting for replacement speakers. An amp in the back ready to go to work. But I'm keeping my factory amp in place until it's working with either the PAC or the DSR1. Will be an easy final step when it is ready... swap factory amp...
No progress on my DSR1 either. I get sound for 3 seconds, then nothing. At least engineers from both Maestro and Rockford are working together on the issue now. My truck is all wired up with new speaker wire and wire for the amps. As soon as I finish making the speaker mounts, it's all gonna be...
Looks great! Do you have the Maestro running in Universal mode? I went to flash my second unit today (they decided the first was bad) and they've yanked the 2019 custom options it looks like. I know I was having tons of problems with it.
I need to go through the firewall with two 12 volt lines for my amps.... Clutch plate sounds good. Where is it located... I haven't looked yet. Maybe it's easy to spot. Will check tonight.
These fuses are different that my old vehicle. My old pack of "Add a Fuse" is incompatible. Does the Mini...
Hi,
I apologize. I probably only know enough to be a little bit dangerous. My terminology is probably off a bit too... anyways, long story short, I managed to set up a great system I loved in my Tacoma through help and suggestions from others. Now I'm installing it in my new 2019 Dodge Ram...
LOL, will do.
I just had a chat with our friends at Maestro and verified with the engineers.... the Active Noise Cancellation is disabled with the DSR1.
This is good and bad. Bad, because it's kind of a cool feature. I don't know really how well it works because I haven't heard it with and...
Yes, that was my intention with considering it. Looks like it's just a 3.5 slot on the 2019 center. I would have preferred something a bit larger for center. Not sure I'll do it or not now.
On another note, has anyone used the DSR1 in the 2019? I'm hoping it doesn't mess up the cabin noise...
I need the DSR1 to keep my factory radio and have imaging abilities at least between right/left and the rear speakers. I may break out the 3.5s in the dash and run them off the DSP rather than as 3 ways... just need another amp if I go that route (that has been on my mind). The 6.5's and Tweeter...
I'm not removing the radio, sticking with factory (which is why I ended up getting a DSR1). I spoke with the crew at Maestro and they said it will work with the 2019s now. I'll let you know....
Cool, that's what I thought about the resistors. I thought I saw a post earlier where somebody did...
Just ordered one for my 2019 Bighorn. Has anyone else upgraded the sound in a 2019?
I Plan to run a passive 3 way setup in the front (Hybrid Audio, Unity). I have the 6.5 and tweeter from my Tacoma build that I removed, but now they offer a 3.5 with crossover that blends well. I hope the 3.5...
