Hi, I want to add a rear sway bar to my truck, I will be adding a aftermarket rear diff cover also, which rear bar do you guys recommend? I did research but some people say certain ones don't work with Aftermarket covers and so on but most of my research came up with old posts and some of the bars are not even made anymore.

Would a factory one off a newer truck fit?

Are there ones that require less fabrication to install?

Thanks

I had always came up with the same search results. I'm going to get the BellTech 5555 one of these days, but I'm keeping the stock diff cover since extra capacity isn't something I need on my truck.

Belltech looks nice but I hear it may not work with aftermarket cover, SO I am leaning toward The Hellwig.

Does adding a rear bar actually make a noticeable difference? Like a real noticeable difference?

Which bar is a better choice if you add a aftermarket catback? Id like to get one that splits and comes out as duals.

Belltech clears the cover on an SRT Dana 60, so that's what I'll be getting when I do. Just not a fan of the silver (probably get it powdercoated black).

YES. It sucks only the SRT's got it on the 3rd gens, but there's a reason almost all (if not all by now) of the 4th gens get it.

Belltech or Addco, the bar runs forwardl ike a factory install. I had a Hellwig years back but ended up taking it off for my exhaust (tips at each corner).

Ok, I ordered the Hellwig Rear bar, Any install tips? I have heard the directions are not the best. I have read that people are not sure which way is up with the bar and stuff like that. How do i know how far to thread the nuts down ? Is there a certain height the bar should be installed at?

Any tips would be helpful Thanks

Ok I got the Bar, they want you to double nut the U Bolt on the axle but there isn't even enough thread for me to get one nut fully on, I ended up striping it and cant find anything that size locally.

Also It is hard to tell which end of the bar goes up. I googled it and I get mixed answers, I also see some have it centered on the axle tubes and others have it further down and I am not sure if I can get it level I think the ends will have a slight upward angle.

I do wish the instructions were clearer and the 2 u bolts a half inch to a inch longer.

though I don't have any specifics on these particular bars, on particular Ram models, what I have found is that unless your putting one on a Camaro or the like, they don't fit right and the hardware is the crudest, poorest material available. I swear the bolts are made out of butter. It's been that way for 35 years. Welcome to the world of Mopar. If it looks good, fits well, and works it's just by accident it fits your Mopar.

Ok, I got it done after searching to try and find replacement U Bolts with no luck, I remembered that a old fella in my town still makes custom Leaf Springs and U Bolts. I stopped to see him and he took me out to his shop and I left with two made to length U Bolts and nuts.

I have everything on it looks and fits nice, I centered the bar on the axle and the arms have a slight upward tilt. I see a lot of people mount the bar lower on the axle and the arms have quite a bit of rise.

I still am not sure if I have the bar flipped the right way as it is not market up or down and it can go on either way.I put it on so when resting on the ground the hump was flat and the arms were tilted up slightly.

The truck does feel a lot stiffer almost think I should upgrade the front one.
