What size spacer should I run to avoid rubbing, and look the best to fill in the flares?

what style of flares do you have? also spacers are not recommended as they stress the joints a lot, it would be much better and safer (especially if you off road) to get a proper offset rim.

Thanks

They are a short flare, maybe 2" wide and smooth

deviating away from the factory wheel specs (offset, width) with a lower offset regardless if it's via a wheel spacer or by running a lower offset wheel, will add more strain to the front end components. They both push the wheel center line out further from the hub, thus adding more strain on the hub and bearing.
With that said, how wide are your 35's? How do you want the wheels to sit, flush with the fender, stick out slightly, recessed in slightly?

I'd like the tires to sit even with the flares...I don't have 35's yet just getting a plan together
