I have an 09' 545rfe trans with 107k and one of these f'n centuries I'm going to get my stall and v/b installed (seriously, no once installs ish here). The local club members state at over 100k my trans is likely to give out soon blah blah blah (I don't race, but I like to gun it from a dig from time to time
) . They recommend pulling a used trans (likely to have at least 75k mi) rather than rebuilding mine (according to them rebuilt trans are no more reliable than stock and will blow just as quick). The question is, do I just install the TC and V/B and wait for it to blow, IF it does, or take precaution and have it rebuilt, or pull one with a warranty and still have the same concerns? I hate playing the "if" game, I hate being stranded moreso :|
