I loved the stance on My 2006 Ram SRT-10.

Question is, How do You get the 1 - 2 1/2 inch drop on a 4th gen? Is it a combination of lowering springs/cut springs or is there a specific kit for this?

Thanks for any help!

McGaughys makes 2" rear drop springs, then you could slightly trim those for another 1/2". For a 1" front drop, you'll have to trim your stock springs. Only thing off the shelf for the front are a 2" drop.

Crown Suspension makes a 1 inch front drop spring.

So, now that I have ALL these options I have a question. Should I do the 2" springs and cut a bit of the coil, or do a 3" spring and add an adjustable helper airbag to get the desired 2 1/2 inch ride height? Also, on a 2 1/2 inch drop, are the adjustable control arms necessary to recenter the wheel?

You won't need the adjustable control arms, the tiny bit the axle will move forward with a 2" drop, will not be noticeable. Alot of guys don't use them on 4"+ drops.

I would say get the 2 inch and cut if needed. As for the control arms its not that noticable with only a 2 inch drop.

^ ^ That's probably what I am going to go with...their 3" rear, 1" front kit with air helper kit in the rear to give it the desired 2 1/2 drop in the rear. Thanks! :favorites13:

Let us know how that works for you Blue. Crown is not too far from me, they said they would sell/install their 1/3 kit for $500 OTD at their shop. 2/4 is a bit too low for me since I still go to the desert for riding/camping

Ground Control makes a 1/3 kit

I've been looking and can't find this application....does anybody know the part # for their 1"-3" drop kit?

Never heard of Ground Control,

I went with the Ground Force 2/3 kit on mine because it was the only option for a RCSB 4x4 at the time (4 years ago).
(they also sell a rear only 2" coil kit for less that works for 2WD/4WD)

Mine cost a little more than some kits, but has custom progressive rate coils at all four corners.
The 2/3 drop ended up more like 1" in the front and 3-1/2" rear. So she sits almost dead level and the handling is amazing
especially with a beefy set of 305/50R20 Rubber :naughty:

I couldn't really go much lower due to the amount of snow we get in Alberta
I just wanted to get my ass out of the air, the factory rake on a RCSB 4x4 is ridiculous.
