110 volt plug.

I have a 2017 Ram 1500 SLT 5.7L. After removing the radiator cover I found a 110 volt 3 prong plug next to the right headlight. What is this?

Block /engine heater pretty well standard issue on trucks in Canada and the northern States.

Allow me......Thanks for all the answers guys. I thought only diesel engines had block heaters. Glad I joined this forum and hope to share some knowledge in the future!

My son's 6.4 Hemi also had one. Oddly he bought a 2021 2500 Cummins last summer and it did not have one but he had the dealer install the plug as part of the deal. Apparently all Cummins have the block heater but don't have the cord unless it is ordered with the heater. The plug was about $120 and the dealer connected it pretty quickly.
