12" lift on 2015 ram sport 4x4

I am currently having a 12" lift kit prototyped for my 2015 Ram Sport quad cab 4x4. My question is... what differentials are used on my teuck? I need to order new gears and all the websites don't have much info on what is factory installed. I have the 5.7L hemi with 8 speed auto. Any help will he appreciated

There is a site where you can punch in your VIN number and it will give you a complete listing of all the stock equipment for your truck including your gears. I can't remember it but if you maybe Google it, you might find it that way until another member can identify it for you.

Also to change gears in a 2015 you will need to get a older differential and swap it in with some fabbed up brackets. Youll need an pre 2011 differential.
for the rear go to moes performance, he has the gears needed.

They are both ZF differentials. Highest youll be able to go is 4.56

4 wheel parts said I can go 5.11 but they won't give me info until I put the money down.
Final price hasn't been decided yet since they are using the truck to prototype the kit

You can just look on your rear axle , drivers side . There's a Barcode sticker there , if you have the 8 speed , you'll have 3.21 or 3.96 differentials. You may get by a short time with the 3.96 gr but you definitely want 4.56 gears for 38" + tires even with the the lower gearing 1-6 in the 8 speed xsmn .

I entered my vin on that site and it showed my truck having 3:21 gears, but the axle tag shows 3:55 non LSD.

haven't heard anything about 5.11 gears so idk about that

5.13 gear sets are a thing. That would be damn near necessary for this build. Although you'll soon realize doing a gear swap on these trucks isn't easy, and it ain't cheap

mounting brackets are the same except for one. It needs to be custom

I'll assume they are prototyping the kit for the "stock" setup which means the prototyped kit will have to be further modified for the 2011 or older front diff if you don't get that from the start, something to consider............

You have to order that bracket for an 11 lift. Then you need to have a shop cut and weld both brackets.
