14" Trans Tune

Yes but the underlying tuning should be identical. Just curious if it is worth even installing the trans tune since my latest HF 91 tune has made my truck shift so much better.

Yes the trans tune is worth getting even when you already have the motot tune

Did Diablo just provide an update for canned tunes on the 2014? I tried a couple weeks ago and it was a no go, no tunes available on the I2 for a 2014.

I didn't have a chance to change my t-stat so I am still running the canned tune with the Diablo trans tune. Has anyone else tried to update? I figured guys would be all over this.

Just got the DS 91 with perf trans in and will be going out here in a little to get some data logging for 0-60. Then I will be contacting Sean to get a custom trans to pair with my custom engine tune.

Just went out and datalogged some pulls with the DS 91 with DS perf trans tune. With my truck I did 0-60 in 6.4s in 4 auto. Earlier today with my custom HF 91 without trans tune I ran 0-60 in 6.0 in 4 auto. Loading Hf 91 with DS perf tune and see how that does before I get the HF trans tune. Definitely better shifting with the trans tune though. This is how the truck should shift from the factory!!

Update: so as everyone knows a custom tune is much better than DS can tune and that is what I found out this morning. Yes the HF 91 paired with DS trans tune is better but still some potential there. Right now it is shifting around 5400-5500 and I have heard that the custom trans tune will raise that to 6k which will definitely help.

Overall I am pleased with the DS trans tune. It shifts much smoother with light throttle and nice and firm at WOT. My next step will be to get HF custom trans tune and I will report back once I get that.

I am finally liking how my truck drives! Man from the factory it was terrible and hate returning the truck back to stock when I have to bring it into the shop. Definitely a granny car when stock.

Yea I agree. Many people have been waiting and complaining about this. I really haven’t seen many post from the 15+ guys on trans tune and their thoughts on it either.

The 14's have been tranny tune-able for well over a year via HP tuning,took Diablo long enough to catch up didn't it,lol

Thanks, no go, I need to call Diablo. It's not just trans tunes, its tunes in general, nothing on the device for a 2014 at all and nothing updating from their site to provide tunes.

From what I was told, while the 14 isn't supported for trans tune it will at times pick it up. If it does you can have a custom trans tune. Mine would not.

I am running a recent revision of a HF 92 octane hybrid tune that was said to help with shifting and I tell you what, it felt like a trans tune.

That sucks that the trans tune didn’t work for you. I was running the same HF tune and once I added the DS trans it made it even better. I sent a log to Sean and he said it looked perfect but said his custom trans would even be better so I will be getting that from him next week.

So only some 14's trucks can tune the trans? That does suck. I wonder if it has something to do with the build dates of the 14's.

The trans tunes came out just in time to buy a 2019 [emoji23] that’s why I don’t think I’ll be doing my trans tune unless it’s reliable over time and makes a big difference

Yes--Sean has a custom trans tune available. I have it on my 16---what a difference.
