First thread/post.

I have a 04 1500 and need to know if 2015 wheels will safely fit it? My custom wheels are flaking chrome and I have decided just to go back to factory. Mine are long gone but I have the option of either some 2008 20x9" chrome clad wheels or a set of 2015 satin/flat silver/gray 20x8". I like the 2015 more as they aren't so shiny and may not look right on my aging truck. Will the 2015 20x8" fit safely? Also what year did Dodge change from 20x9" to 20x8"?

Not sure what year they changed to a skinnier rim, probably when the most recent mpg requirement jumped. The rims ought to fit fine as the lug pattern et al swap from 2nd gen to 4th gen. I saw a 2nd gen yesterday with some newer sport rims on it.
I just wish people didn't want for arms and both legs for their stock rims. Especially when you can get a better setup as far as offset etc with aftermarket, for the same price.

They went from 275/55/20" tires to now 275/60/20". So no big difference in tire size. Just want to make sure before I get the wheels, then tires mounted and balance then to find out it doesn't fit/work right.
