Maybe needs to be in electrical thread, unsure just looking for assistance?

Has anyone else experienced this, came across it, if so have you found a fix?

I have an 18" tradesman 2500, 6.7 68rfe, brand new.

After it sits for a period of time, the dome light will not come on when I open the door (especially noticeable after it sits all night, at 5am.) It won't come on with the dimmer switch either in that situation, but then will work when it is "reset." After I start it or cycle the key, it works.

The dimmer switch is confirmed not to be in the off position as well.

It's almost like it is timing out as if you left it on or left your door open? But usually flipping the switch or cycling the door fixes that on previous trucks. Tried lock, unlock with remote, opening/closing the doors nothing.

Hi blemley2,
I understand how this would be frustrating. If you choose to have your dealer look into this, you can send us a private message and we would be happy assist you while your truck is being serviced.
