I have a '12 express and have plans on getting a tuner in the future. Currently all I have done is a CAI and muffler with resonator delete done and I dont have any plans on doing anything else to the exhaust. Is it pointless to get the 180 tstat and efan installed if I do not have a tuner yet? I've been doing some searching and havent seen anything that answered this question. I understand that if I want a custom tune done that I should have these things done before I would get it custom tuned but I just wanted to know if I should wait to buy everything at once or if I can start chipping away at things first.

I can't comment on the tstat, but the efan is certainly worth doing with, or without a tuner.
Anything less driven by the engine makes it that much less load on it, more able to free up parasitic power...

the only thing with putting the efan without a tuner is that the stock set temp is 222. I dont know about you but thats hot in my book.

Which efan did you install? Did you have it done or do it yourself? If you installed yourself were there any major complications?

Thanks

Considering that the stock T-Stat is 210, 222 sounds reasonable for fan engagement, but I agree, a little closer to 200 would be nice.

I've had both changed out on my 12 for a while now. I always have the a/c on here in fl so it keeps the fan on and temps at 180.
