What would be my best bet to replace the cloth seats. My wife hates the headrests and they have no bells or whistles. We tried to bend them and the tricks didn’t change anything.IMG_2466.jpeg

If it’s just the headrests turn them around backwards. If you turn them around and switch the driver and passenger side they will retain the position locking detents in the correct spot.

Definitely worth a try will try it first thing tomorrow
I'll pile on and say the backs fit up front too and apparently the 5th gen HD truck headrest is compatible with less rake/forward angle.

with my 2016 Ram, i switched the front headrests
& completely removed the rear head rests

The rears make your interior mirror almost worthless

The fronts push on my head & they become a major distraction

The fronts should be cupped, to fit the shape of your head, if the head rests have to be tilted forward

There are too many NANNY devices in todays RAMs
& they don't seem to care about thievery

There was some point in the past 15 years or so where headrests were removed as being part of a vehicle and head restraints took there place. My Ram doesn't bother me that much but driving my Wife's Pacifica is like having a child on an airplane smack you in the head by kicking the seat every time you hit a bump.

I have Katskins front and rear, love them, soft and comfortable.
Came with the center console leather as well.
Katskins is a little expensive, but it is the only way to go, you get what you pay for :)

There are multiple sellers on marketplace probably by you as well which may have Laramie, Sport, or Longhorn seat sets

Would be an easy bolt in swap, although if a Tradesman and your truck doesn't have wiring for power, heated, etc, you'd need to add harnesses from M2 Mods etc to enable those functions and AlfaOBD of course

I was lucky to have all power/vented/rear heated wiring in my truck so when I swapped my Big Horn sport seats out for Limited, they were plug and play and just enabled the vented function on AlfaOBD

Katzkin will run you about 2k installed depending on installer and area, you could DIY but personally I leave upholstery to a pro

This is where I'm at now. I've got a '17 Tradesman and the used power seat out of a Laramie. I have heard that I need a "jumper" to get 12V power to the seat controls. I checked out the M2 mods site and he wants $80 for an "OEM style power feed." Which is cool, but I'm used to doing my own electrical so I figure if I can get the specs for which plugs to use I can pretty easily make my own wiring harness. Anyone have any good links?

So after a bit more searching it seems like this thread has all the cool part numbers. And this thread says the single cabs already have all the wiring you need, you only need to mess around with connectors and harnesses on quad/crew. I've got a single cab, so this may end up being plug and play!

When you reverse the headrests
They no longer tilt forward

They are directly in line with the seat back & so much more comfortable

I do not know how much difference there is between the Tradesman & BigHorn & Laramie Seat material & design pattern.
But all the headrests are leaning forward on all of them, until you turn them 180°

I do not have any pix of my reversed headrests, because i no longer am irritated by them
so i don't think about them, when i have my camera in hand

my rear seat headrests are in a spare room, i dislike having my rear vision blocked

several choices

Located in Ohio
7 1/2 hour drive
or pay shipping

of course, my Bighorn seats are made of cloth
BUT, there are 3 motors that move the seat & another for the air bag
i have seats that raise & lower electrically
The back rest leans back & forward electrically
It slides forward & back, also electrically
& i have power Lumbar, which is actually an Air Bag that inflates & deflates electrically

The Laramie seats may also have Heating coils & a cooling FAN

This company may be an even better choice for used parts

IKQ
The industry term “Like-Kind-Quality” was the starting point for the LKQ brand name back in 1998. Today’s twist on the LKQ name is one which we feel better describes who we are, beyond just product.
