Got them Mad Max looking tow hooks sandblasted this morning. Now heading home to pull off the front subframe to weld in sleeves for the bolts.

Hopefully I can get this done in a day, Good thing my order of gummies came in, I'll down a few 100mg to help with the process and make the pain manageable :anitoof: :hat: :driver:

Coolant pipe and custom pipe mount day :hat:

Was able to figure out what length of flex hose I need. Unfortunately I have to wait until Wednesday to finish.

If you guys ever wondered if at 1.25 bushing I'll fit a 1.125 hole with a 20 ton press. It sure does :dogpile: :anitoof:

These 1961 leaf springs are now good for another 50y :birgits_tiredcoffee

Those old leafs gave me a free 3" drop :birgits_tiredcoffee :anitoof:

Hopefully when I put the fenders on tomorrow the wheels will be centered in the wheel well

I'd build some sort of bump stop to restrict their movement a bit,if you plan on driving it in the winter.
Old leaf springs are famous for breaking in cold weather.
Looking good though Ian.

I'm putting airbags on this, :birgits_tiredcoffee. Leaf springs will pretty much be for keeping the diff in place and saves me for building a 4 link front. Which would be a major headache due to the lack of room available.

Moving my leaf springs back 1" to center my front wheels . The ******* at ford welded the front leaf spring mount to the cross member mounts .so now I got to do a bunch of fabwork. Instead of just moving a couple of bolts.

Finally back at it today, I was hoping the garage goblins would of set my front leafs springs while I was on vacation in the Philippines. :dogpile:

But she's exactly how I left her.

Well I wasnt expecting this to be so expensive.

Unfortunately for me the DT360 gear driven pump pushes out 2400psi and the F550 Hydroboost is a 1500psi system.

But this is the last step before I can start my engine

Hell yeah, I can reuse the F550 shock mounts . This just saved me a ton of work.

And this is the oil pan at full drop. :peace:

I also just got my Tracking number for that custom T-case to Eaton 6 speed adapter .
