1996 5.2 Catalytic Convertor

My 96, Ram 5.2 has been running sluggish. After replacing o2 sensors I’ve come to the determinations it probably needs new cat. Took truck to a shop and they told me my truck actually has 4 cats and price out the door is $5500.00. Am I missing something????

No, the shop is absolutely wrong. Federal emission trucks and California trucks have the exact same 2-into-1 catalytic converter. There is only one for your truck. Tell that shop to take a hike.

Yep and thats way to much you can buy one from summit and do it your self with a sawzall and a couple clamps .
