I have 99 dodge ram 1500 with the 5.9l v8. I'm having problems with brake light staying on. Just the two out by the tail gate.theu will come on randomly at any time of the day. since my brake light is staying on its draining my battery.i Have already replaced the brake light switch. problem still not solved now my wipers and turn signal work intermediately. All fuses are accounted for.

Can you make an adjustment on the switch. Might try lifting up on the brake pedal and see if that makes the lights go out

Tried that already but still doesn't explain why my wipers work intermediately

The wiper switch might be going bad. Unless you have a bad ground some where

Are you sure it's brake lights and not just running lights although I guess the fronts would be on as well. Almost sounds like what @Joe w. said and there is a bad ground or a couple wires worn and shorting to each other in your steering column. I'd start looking there.
