2" lift options

I never bought a lift let alone a leveling kit for my truck, so here is my question. What should I look for when buying something like this? I dont want to go the full 2.5 or 2.8 because I want the front to be slightly lower, but I dont want it as low as it is now. Im also worried about durability on these things because I wanna keep my truck for a long time.
Im a noob when it comes with doing exrernal changes to my truck like this. I see lots of post with types of levels but no definitions on why that is better then other levels


I see this level 2" kit on ebay but im hesitant on getting it without knowing what to look for.

Hell bent steel has a great reputation. a lot of guys are running them on here. Depending on your long term goals you may also want to look into the bilstein 5100 high adjustable shock.

When trying to determine the hight that you want in the front you can lift it with a car jack and see what hight you think looks best. Thats what I've done in the past to help me visualize a specific high. Keep in mind that the smaller level will be easier on components.

I will be going with the hell bent 2" in the near future.

I see. So then once install, how do you adjust them? Can you adjust them on the fly or do you need to take it off to adjust them?

You have to adjust them first and then install them. It will need an alignment after the install. Some folk choose to go that way because they plan on lifting at some point and the 5100s work great for that. Others put them on because the Bilstein is a better product then the stock shock. They will run a bit more money though

Yeah I kinda figured on the pricing. I see on summit website they run about $90 a pop vs getting spacers for $60

long term I definately see myself upgrading tire size on my truck to the next bigger size, but since I dont go off road much, I might look at getting 22" but thats down the the road.

right now I just dont like that the front is so much lower than the back. Dont know why dodge did that. I understand aerodynamics to be off my more than 2 inches just doesnt look sexy.

getting the ready lift by rancho installed as we speak... with the myride remote. yes, it is discontinued, but whatev... cant wait. good luck. would go with what most people do and that's the bilsteins set to 2.1 or 2.8. done.

I think I'm one of the few oddballs who prefer a rake. I do not like leveling kits. I see several around town (on various trucks), that have ass sag syndrome: higher in front vs. back. This looks stupid to me. We have no dunes in Kansas.

Thats one of the reasons why I dont want to do a complete 2.5 or 2.8 inch level. I want some drop on the front.

I did the Hell Bent Steel 2" and am very happy with it. I still have a little rake. Just make sure to get it aligned right away.

Dito on the Hellbent, went with the 2.5, I wanted the level look. Quick/easy transaction and ship. Well built quality product. Did the install myself and the spacers lined up perfect. Can't go
