Thanks for all the replies. At this point I haven’t pulled the trigger yet

This is what I’m considering...

Bilstein 5100’s front and rear. Set at 2.8 front. 1 inch spacer rear

Or

Rough country 3” lift which is UCA’s and spacers

Or

Rough country 4” so I can still fit in the garage and parking structures. I will upgrade to their premium shocks as well

I have a lot of concern with the install on the 4”. I will be doing it by myself and if I run into trouble or out of time then I won’t have my truck for work on Monday and that is not an option. That’s really the only thing stopping me from buying the 4” kit

And for those wondering, no, cutting your FM antenna down a couple inches does not affect your reception

No a few inches don't. But this does lolololool. But yes. That’s the perfect way to be sure you’ll fit :happy107:

Take the other guys advice and go with zone or even look at the 4" superlift kit w/ bilstein's. Both are better options than the RC lift kit. You have a nice truck, put a nice lift on it and do it right.

That's bad ass! I'm not sure if it's your driveway but I also like how it has some rake in the pic. Although mine is nowhere near as high as yours, I wanted to maintain a little rake with my level. That's why I added the 1.5" spacer in the rear. I managed to keep a 1" rake. With the spacer my truck looks level whenever I attach my 4x8 high-side trailer at max capacity.

I had the same decision to make when looking to lift my truck.... 2.8" of lift vs. 4" of lift. I found it helpful to take a jack under my truck and lift it up to those 2 heights. It gave me an idea of what the truck would look like and more importantly, how much clearance each option would yield.

I may have missed it in an earlier post, but what is the thinking or reason behind wanting to lift the truck? Aesthetics? Off road clearance / performance?

The superlift kit is only $100 more than the RCX...

Based only on personal experience, I’d take Zone over both of those

OP I have used RC is the past and it's a it solid kit (just get different shocks) this was all for 3/4 ton trucks as I never owned a IFS 1500. Never used Any of the other companies mentioned and did but BDS once and the only thing that was different was the shocks and long arms.

Yeah. She’s got a few scratches. 40’s look sweet. Maybe when I defeat I’ll go that route.

I'ts mostly because of the driveway ... but yes it does have a little bit of rake .... ill take some pictures later on of her of flat ground and post them on my build thread ....

hey guys. 2014 ram 1500 4x4 hemi. Has 35x12.5x20” tires and aftermarket rims. Not sure of back spacing. I have a fabfours front bumper. Currently no rubbing at all. I believe I have zero lift right now. This is how I bought the truck

I have about 2k to spend. I would like around 4-6 inches of lift. Was leaning toward the Rough country 4 or 6.

I will be installing this by myself in the driveway. My concerns are that I drive this truck to work Monday-Friday. I can start the disassembly on a Friday evening after work. Realistically when will this be completed and will I need anything other than what’s in the lift kit? I know I’ll need an alignment which is sort of a problem as a shop won’t be open on Sunday to get it done. I assume atleast all day Saturday and part of Sunday to have the lift completely installed.

if you guys had 2k to spend on lifting your truck what would you do and what are your thoughts on doing it yourself, anything extra needed, etc...?

Picture is how she sits currently

Truck is filthy from the roads lol but definitely go zone 6". As stated you can use it as a 4in lift kit and really easy to change it to 6 if you ever decide to go taller. This is mine. Zone 6/5 lift with preload spacer left out and bils at 2.1. Still have a slight rake which I wanted. Tires are 37s
