Noise starts when accelerating andngets louder the faster I go, almost sounds like real bad road noise from tires. Anyone else have this issue?

Does the noise change when you let off the gas or slip the trans into neutral?

When I let off the gas and decelerate the noise diminishes, it only makes it when moving, at 60 mph it is so loud I have to turn up radio to hear it

Are you leaking gear oil? Typically that sounds like a possible pinion bearing. If I remember correctly, noise on acceleration is the front bearing and noise on decal the rear pinion bearing. Usually when the front brg goes bad the seal will leak.

The front short axle has a rip in the boot I found tonight and the rear end has a leak

Jack her up and put in gear to see if you can locate the noise. My guess is pinion bearing.

My truck makes that mumming noise when going 65. I'm not leaking fluid, but greg is right. It may be a bearing. Check for play in the pinion on the axle.
