2003 Dash and lights

2003 1500 small V8. I have owned it since day one. Truck starts and runs fine. However, the dash is totally dead. No lights work inside our outside the truck except the headlights. They turn on immediately on start up. Can't turn them off unless the truck is shut off. So my question is what is going on? Is the dash being dead the problem? Where do I start looking to fix this? Thanks for any help.

Sounds like a front control module. Anybody else chime in.

Yeah start with replacing the instrument cluster. Almost all lighting on the truck will run through that. When the TIPM computer doesn’t get a signal back from the headlight switch through the cluster, it automatically turns the headlights on. It should fix your issues
