This is my first post on you'll site. I have been reading the site for about a month or so. I traded my silverado for a 2003 Ram quad cab 4X4 I have been looking around for a lift locally and I have ran into a couple different opinion and price. I'm really wanting a 8 inch suspension lift but every where I go they say that no one makes it. A couple of people tell me that pro comp make a 6 inch lift and that rough country make a 5 inch lift. Most of the people tell me that the rough country lift is the better lift for the money and that it comes most complete with skid plate. The prices that I have gotten so far it's $2,000 for the rough country lift installed and align. The pro comp it's $2,500 installed but no alignment. There was one place that told me that they would do a 6 inch pro comp lift and a 3 inch body lift for a total of of $3,800 plus alignment. I really want to run 37 on my dodge.

What do you guys think? Any opinion or comments would be great.

you could always do a 6" suspension and stretch some Bilsteins under there for close to 8 inches. probably cheaper then what your being quoted

3800 sounds good. Most of us are running the suspension and body lift. You can easily fit 37s with the 6" and 3" combine.

Welcome to RF. I would consider gears also since you want to run 37's

4.56's all the way especially with a 4.7 under the hood. Prepare to save for the gear install too since you have a 4x4. 4.56's match pretty well with 35-37" tall tires and will take some of the strain off the tranny so it won't have to work as hard transfering the power to the rear.

Thanks guys. I have already started looking for the gears before doing the lift.
