2004 Dodge Ram 4x4 light question

Hello all I just got a 2004 manual transmission 2500 Ram and I have a question about the 4wd lights or lack of. When I use my floor shifter and shift into 4wd there aren’t any lights on telling me that I am engaging 4wd is that normal or do I have an issue?

Its the switch on your transmission. Seems like I replace mine every year.

It's not normal.

FYI, I know this is an old thread however this part fixed my 4WD light issue and is much cheaper than the standard switch.
