I want to add steering wheel controls. What do I need beside the switches, as I have already installed them and plugged them into the clock spring but they still don't work.

Does your truck have the overhead console and/or RKE? Usually plugging the steering wheel switches in works if you have a premium BCM in the PCI bus vehicles.

I asked a friend of mine who did this to his Ram years back, he referred me to a write up he used; basically one step different from the Jeeps. Seems the Jeeps had better pre-installed wiring. There's a harness that needs to go to the back of the cluster. Doesn't look hard to do but probably a mild PITA. Check your PM's.
