So I have a 2003 Dodge Ram with the 5.7 Hemi. I also have a 2006 Dodge Ram SRT-10 with the Viper engine. My 2003 was always overheating under acceleration and towing. I got a super duty aluminum radiator off eBay and ever since then it's been cool runnings. I just bought my SRT-10 in December. it's overheating the same way my 2003 would overheat before I done the radiator upgrade. The stock radiator is just a two core. I want a three or four core radiator. I bought a 3 core radar radiator on Amazon and the guy sent me a two core. Seller said...Ill give you a 20 bucks discount if you keep it. I said no and reported him as a rip off.
I've been looking at the pics online. does anyone know if a Cummins radiator is the same as an SRT-10 radiator. They appear the same but I can't find any dimensions. I live in a hot part of the country and cooling the mechanics is number one priority.

I posted a few pics. The last one is of my '70 Challenger that is really nice... I think

I did put in a 160 thermostat and I also have a degree in air conditioning and refrigeration. Through my troubleshooting I realize the stock radiator cannot handle the heat output under power or a heavy load. thank you for the links.
I have checked those out sites in the past. the $1,600 radiator is nothing special but the roar Radiator is a little more reasonable. The stock radiator is way under engineered for the thermal output of that engine.

If you power steering pump is going out the fan wont run on the high speed. My truck would start to get hot in traffic.

Stock srt10 radiator is fine, even towing.
Fan system is hydraulic off the ps system, if its low on fluid or if the electrical connector on pass side of fan is loose then the fan wont go to high when ac is onnor temp goes up.
A 160 tstat does no good if the fansvarent tuned to come on earlier (stock is 190+, coolant will flash to 205-210, this is NOT overheating)
If you have the fan come on too early it will delay the computer required minimum temp of 180-184 causing a cel
