2010 Alpine System Upgrade

Got a 2010 Big Horn couple weeks ago with the Alpine System in it. Was wondering if anyone has just replaced the factory sub with an aftermarket sub or if it was easier to just buy an aftermarket set up?

I swapped out the factory sub for the pioneer shallow mount.
I didnt notice a difference in it. People have said it takes a while for the new sub to get broken (rubber is stiff?) Ive been thinking about putting the stock one in to see if there is a difference worth the $65 or so I paid for it.

Leaning toward putting old back in just to compare. The OEM may not be a "bad" speaker it seems to have decent construction and not paper. Motivated to run my own stuff now tho
