Hey guys, I've got a 2010 Ram with the 4.7L. I've had a loud roaring noise coming from the front for the past 8 months. It never did it before that. It only lasts for about 20-30 seconds every time I start it up no matter what the temperature, then it goes back to being silent as it used to. Its extremely loud and sounds like a semi. I've had it to 3 different mechanics and they've said nothing is wrong and that's just what they do. I just have a hard time believing that nothing can be done since it's never done it until 8 months ago. I've had 2 different fan clutches replaced and a new water pump put on. Just wanted to see if others have had this problem and if it was ever fixed.

Remove fan clutch....if you have no noise then that is your issue
If it is fan clutch you will have to get a Mopar OEM......all heavy duty aftermarkets move more air & are noisy.

Alright thanks, what would cause it to start doing it in the first place since it had started doing it before I replaced it with aftermarket ones?

Most of the time spring gets weak & fan does not move as much air.
That's why I recommended removing fan clutch temporarily to make sure that was the cause of the noise.
