2011 4x4 gearing choices

Hey Matt. I would like to add a 35 inch tire to the 2011 Sport Crew Cab 4x4. What gearing options are available for this model? I read somewhere that maybe you had made a special carrier bearing for the rear axle so that I might be able to run 4.56 gearing. I assume that I can change the front axle without any special bearings just going to need install kits? If the option is available can you shoot me a pm with pricing? That would be Fukken awesome.

I dont know how I missed this thread. I apologize for that.

On the rear, you are going to have your carrier modified to accept the 4.56's. Eaton was telling me that they had a fix for this, but after talking with them more about it, it doesnt look like its going to happen anytime soon. Once you have the carrier modified to accept the 4.56's, its as simple as getting the front/rear gears and both front/rear install kits. This install is starting to get more popular, so many shops can make the modifications needed to run this setup in your truck. I would call around you local shops, so I can set you up with one that will modify a unit and ship it to you ready to install.

Thanks Matt. Sounds expensive with the modifications required for the rear carrier. Maybe I will just go with the 4.10 option which I assume can be done without special modifications to the rear carrier? 35's with 4.10's has got to be better than 35's with 3.55's. Can you shoot me pricing on the g
ears and install kits?

The 4.10's can be done without modification, but we have to get you the factory 4.10's for the rear. Total price with factory 4.10's out back, Motive 4.10's up front, and master install kits for both front and rear is $899 with free shipping.

So 2012 ram 3.55 gears can be switched out with factory 4.10 with no modifications?

As long as you go with the factory 4.10's, then yes. The install kits will work with both the old 9.25 and the new 9.25ZF.
