Hi,
My fan on my 1500 just stopped working, but only the first two speeds. The high speed, and next to the high speed work fine. I called my local dealer and asked if there happened to be a separate fuse for the different speeds. She told me no, but that I should try replacing the cabin air filter. After much searching and watching youtube, it does not appear that I have an in cabin air filter. The box where it is supposed to be is molded solid and there doesn't appear to be a way to open in short of a saws all. Anyway, any recommendations on getting the first two blower speeds going again would be appreciated.
Thanks!
James

If you only have the high speed on the fan it’s most likely the blower motor resistor. It’s a $15 part and replacement instructions can be found on YouTube.

I agree with Atcer2018. Resistor kits are available to restore missing fan speeds.

Also check YouTube and search the forum on how to modify your truck to accept a cabin air filter.

It's a very easy DIY mod that will help to keep the heater core and AC heat exchanger clean.

As far as the Cabin Air Filter goes

No Ram 1500 that was built before January 2017 did not even have the plastic housing cut out for just the door.
After January 2017, Ram started cutting the housing & put the door in place.
I don't know IF the actual air filter was put into the slot on any 4th Gen Ram.
