We certainly understand why this would be concerning. If you are not able to determine a solution based on suggestions from fellow forum members and you decide to address this with your Ram dealer, please be sure to follow up with us via private message. We would be more than willing to escalate your situation to a specialist who can work alongside you and your dealer while your truck is in service.

If you decide to replace your factory stereo, I still have my wife's OEM stereo from her 2011 RAM 1500 Bighorn

If you should decide to change out your stereo with another OEM model, I still have my wife's 2011 RAM 1500 Bighorn 4wd's OEM stereo.

I have the same radio that is shown in the attachment above and have similar problem with loss of volume control (no sound) with the radio signal coming through as shown "as stereo" showing on the screen, but with out any sound.
I plug into the AUX Jack and run spotify off an android phone OK, the SAT gives advertisements, the screen shows the FM signal but no sound. Intermittently, the radio volume control and sound returnd after removing the AUX plug for a short while then drops back out. What would cause the FM radio to not have any sound but has sound (volume control) with the other "stereo unit" functions.?
Thanks for your help.
