I'm in tha similar boat but I'm tired of looking at tha stock set up in my 2012. I have an 8.4 set up but need to know what else is needed to swap seeing my stock radio is not u connect compatible.

I’d be happy to get the plug & play larger stock system with navigation & back up camera through infotainment.com but the $1,200 price tag doesn’t work for me. I can’t bring myself to dump that kind of cash on a stereo.

Go to Crutchfield.com. They have lots of upgrades and information on what you need specifically for your vehicle.

So first lets clarify - the 8.4 stereo will NOT work in a 2012. No if, ands, or buts about it.

Next, what is your budget? I normally like the OEM look, but in the 2012 style, the aftermarket radios can look VERY factory-like, however without a budget for everything all in, I cannot make any suggestions.

Yep, dash kit and a nice double din will look epic in your dash

The new high res Kenwood while expensive looks 10 times better than any Ram will put out in the foreseeable future
