2012 dash to 2013

I was just looking an thinking if its possible to take the whole center area of the 2013 dash with the huge radio heat/ac controls an put it in a 2012. I love the inside of them 13s. Just thought... What do u guys think?

I won't buy a '13 because of the interior. I guess it's different strokes...

It was the interior that drew me in to the 2013. My 2010 f150 Harley was pretty snazzy and I'd say my ram steps it up a notch. The screen is the best out there...

I would think it could be done but it would be costly. How to integrate the sensors and the EVIC would be the difficult part. Not sure if the functions of the pre-2013 EVIC are the same as the new one and that might dictate what is possible without codes being thrown.

Another consideration is security system, I know some factory radios can't simply be swapped from one car to the next, not sure if the screens behave in the same fashion.

Probably cheaper to buy a 13

IMO, It'd be a pain in the butt and not worth it. I have to say that IMO the 2013 dash is everything the prior 4th gens are, but updated to stay with the times. It was one of the selling features for me. I can have everything at my finger tips! That and the A8 and air ride...

I've read that the newer radio won't communicate with the older system...can't confirm that though.
