My ram has 65k miles on it. All four doors creak when I open them. I have used wd40 and wd40 with silicone. It lasts all of 4 or 5 days. What can I do to make it stop. I was getting gas next to a 13+ ram the other day while getting gas and the doors were silient.

we just had a thread. a day or two ago, about this very problem. I believe the title was something about rust. The general consensus solution was white lithium grease. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was mentioned in the owners manual. I am pretty sure it is mentioned in the Factory Service Manual.

NEVER USE WD-40. Same w Silicone Spray, both dissolve/displace factory grease. Like above, Lithium Grease or even Bike ChainWax or a couple of drops of ATF.

I have a '12 also and mine creak. I was using WD-40. Going to have to try on of the above listed items.

Added a few drops of atf and I have been noise free for two days. We will see long term. Also we aren't the only ones that suffer from this. My dad has a 07 new body style Silverado and his do the same thing.

Also check where the rubber on the bottom of the rear doors rubs on the metal when opening--it's at the front and bottom inside of the door (below the hinges) where the vertical and bottom rubber door seals rub the body when opening. It will squeak. I kept oiling/greasing the hinges but nothing changed until I saw where the rubber rubbed on the body and hit it with silicone.

Just to update. We are on week three and the doors are silent. I highly recommend atf.

My 2011's front doors both squeak, I've tried Fluid Film several times but it always comes right back. Definitely hinge/spring creak, not rubber related because it does it at half to full open. I'll have to try some atf or maybe some grease.
