I have a 2012 ram rcsb express and am looking to upgrade my factory speakers.I currently have the factory radio with uconnect. I was wondering if there is a center dash speakers with the alpine system and if so is the harness already in my dash? Also, any suggestions on door and dash speakers? I am not going to run a sub just yet since I use my storage behind the seats pretty often. I appreciate any feedback this is my first brand new truck so I'm trying to go about doing everything the right way.

the alpine system does have a center dash speaker i believe, but not sure that there will be wiring there for it in your truck. speaker choice is very subjective, what you think sounds good I might not, and so on. I would recommend going to a best buy and listen to the speakers that they have on the display and see what you like.

If you dont have the Alpine setup, use Kicker DS35 in dash, Kicker KS693 in doors off factory headunit.
I installed a Kicker HS8 powered 8" sub under driver seat, so I can retain storage.

I just upgraded the factory speakers in my 2011. The thread where I wrote about it is here

Basically, the door speakers were Kicker Mopar direct replacements I got from Amazon.
Amazon.com: 2011-2012 DODGE RAM 1500 2500 3500 KICKER SPEAKER UPGRADE QUAD/CREW FRONT MOPAR: Automotive
They have the factory connectors on them so they are plug and play. I got those because some people seem to have slight problems with the off the shelf kickers fitting properly (some had no issues) and the Mopar kickers are slightly modified to direct fit.

I used off the shelf Kicker DS35 speakers for the dash. But I HIGHLY recommend getting the Crutchfield direct harness adapters for them since the factory wires are short and it would be tough to splice into it in that tight spot in the corner under the windshield. Those are part number 12071039. One end plugs into the factory harness and the other ends into the speakers. Only took 20 minutes to replace both dash speakers with those.

What kind of music do you listen to? How loud? What is your ultimate goal? Budget?

LOUD.. im disappointed in the stock setup its isnt clear at all to me. I listen to alot of rock and country. no rap so i dont care about being able to rattle the windows with too much bass but id like some bass at least. graygoose's setup sounds about perfect for what im looking for. id like to stay under 4-500$ since im trying to buy painted door handles, sport mirrors, exhaust, and leveling springs as well, ONE THING AT A TIME. just got to figure out where to start.

In every other truck ive owned I always just picked up a set of subs, an amp, and a box from traders village and did my system myself with no research. BUT since this is a brand new truck i am trying to stay as clean and nice as possible.
