2012 lifter failure

My 2012 5.7 cylinder 8 lifter collapse. Mechanic told me 4 to 6 k to replace but said it was a bandaid. Looking at engine swap, I have extended warranty on it and supposedly they will replace motor. Who else is dealing with this?

If you do some reading,you'll see probably a 1/2 dozen threads on this,in the first couple pages.
Not really any reason to start another thread when you could just piggyback onto 1 of the existing threads.
