IMG_2372.jpegOn my way to work this morning. The service 4wd light and traction control light came on. Also the trailer brake light and the controller was flashing CF. No check engine light or ABS light. I replaced the brake switch since I was reading that could be one of the culprits. Still does it even with new switch in place. I thought possibly a wheel speed sensor but with no ABS light I’m kind of thinking perhaps not.IMG_2371.jpeg

Looks like you have a scantool that can talk to more than just the pcm, can you actually communicate with the ABS module?

The set criteria for the P0571 is:
Set Conditions:

  • The output signal of Stop/Brake Lamp Switch to the PCM looks like it is not applied, while Stop/Brake Lamp Switch Output circuit is applied.
It also mentions "incorrectly adjusted brake switch" as a possible cause.

The U0401 is a communication code:
  • Set Condition:
When the Drivetrain Control Module (DTCM) detects an incorrect Controller Area Network (CAN) message from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) after receiving at least 1 correct message from the PCM.

The C1000 I couldnt find anything on...

It could potentially be a communication situation but you would need to scan all modules to see if theres any more comm codes...

I appreciate the response my buddies scan tool can do abs as well. As far as the switch goes I thought it was self adjusting u pull the knob all the way out and then when you release the brake pedal it pushes it in and sets the plunger depth

Ok I’ll see what it does tomorrow if the lights come on again I’ll play with the adjustments. This is the 2nd new switch I should also say. I thought maybe the first switch was bad so I warranted it tonight and it’s still doing the same thing.

Make sure you lock it in the right way have had mine come lose a few times bit of a pain to get it to lock in all the way.

Don't you have to pull the brake pedal all the way back against the switch button to set the switch?

Have your battery load tested. Common symptom of one on the way out.
