I picked up my Truck a couple months ago, The bluetooth doesn't work.. I hit the phone button or the Uconnect button, on the radio or the wheel.. and it says its not available.. SOMETIMES it will start the pairing process and then at random points during the process it just cuts off.

Anybody have any ideas on what it may be.. I'm hoping its just a bad BT Module or something I can swap fairly cheap.. called local Ram dealer and they have the headunit available but at $450 i'd rather go for a new head unit and not a 10 year old outdated model.

What radio do have in the truck? There should be a three letter code on the lower right corner of the radio. One model radio had bluetooth built-in, others use an external module, which was optional. If installed, it is on the right side, above the right side kick panel, behind the glove box. You usually can pick up a used one on ebay for less then $100

the radio is the 430N RHB, there is a BT module behind the passenger lower dash. Guess ill have to look up the part number and do some digging.

You won't need a dealer flash if you already have the module and you're just replacing it, only if you are adding it.
