I have seen several posts on the internet about brake squeal on these trucks after a few thousand miles. Well I have 12k miles on my 2013 and its actually getting worse.

First I think it was one wheel, now Im not sure anymore?!

But, bottom line...has anyone had any luck at the Stealerships getting this addressed and/or a fix that actually works more than a few trips around the block?

We all know it makes the truck sound like a beater going down the road. Its only on light/mild braking vs hard braking and I know the squeal comes from the pads vibrating (not the rotors) but....

I don't want to bother going to Dodge unless there is a proven fix out there or perhaps one in the works that someone knows about?

Thanks :word:

Two methods I have used to good effect for squeal are:

1. copper grease on the pad backing plates.

2. bedding the pads. there is a process for this and you can find it at the Tech Section on the Baer brakes website.

I have a 14' Crew Cab and my brakes squeal as well. It comes and goes. It started with around 8,000 miles. It has actually gotten better. It used to do it whenever i braked but now its intermittent.
