Hello everyone! Hope y’all are having a fantastic day, wherever you are. Anyways, I was taking out the old bulbs in my 2013 1500 and i could get every other bulb out but the map lights. I read that it would be easier to take out the entire center console thing and take them out that way, but i just wanted to verify.

I've changed several sets of map lights(model years 14-18) all the same way by pulling the lens then the bulb, a 13 should be the same.

Yeah l’ve been trying that way for a while now, and they just won’t come out. I’ve tried wiggling, pulling, and nothing has worked.

I've had to do the rubber band trick on other vehicles pulling incandescent bulbs from map lights. Wrap a rubber band around the bulb once or twice, it will give you a better grip. Do this with the light off.

They’ll come out from the bottom, just need to use a little finesse. Or a pair of needle nose pliers and some caution. You might have to wiggle them around as you’re pulling them out to get them to actually come out, but they’ll come out.

A number of methods on youtube. I use the tape method. Works for me.

I got the bulbs out, with hot glue. They came out easily when i got enough grip.

Use a zip tie. just make a loop around the bulb tighten it and it'll pull it out
