Hi all, I put a 1,000 watt rms amp and 2 12s in a fiberglass custom box. Originally had the PAC, but went with the audiocontrol LC2i, huge improvement. I tapped into the alpine sub wires. Can anyone tell me how much they have accubass turned up and how far turned up on the adjustment for accubass on side of the LC2i? I find too much accubass makes the bass sound fake, hard to explain and sometimes bass just doubles in output for no reason out of the blue. So trying to get it adjusted close, right now I have accubass basically almost all the way off. My amp is hard to get to behind seat, so taking it out multiple times has been a pain.

The volume fluctuations could be the speed sensitive level being on or the usual crap that the Alpine amp seems to pull if there’s not enough resistance on the wire.

Turn gain all the way down on the LC2i,

turn the bass volume almost all the way down on the LC2i, like 1

Turn Accu bass up 3/4 of the way up

Turn gain on LC2i up until the clip lights lights, turn back a hair

I just had the LC2i installed in my '16 with the Alpine system along with a JL RD500/1 and 2 10w1's in a drop in box and the accubass was "tuned" by the shop at right about halfway. With that said I had the bass knob installed for the amp as well and I do find myself tweaking the sound quite a bit with the knob usually between 1/3 to 1/2 of a turn depending on the music I'm listening to.

This LC2i does sound good, but I don't seem to be getting something right. With 1,000 rms mono amp and 2 12s, I just don't seem to be getting output right. Did you all connect both sets of alpine sub wires into the LC2i or just one set? Problem I been having is even at like 1/4 way up on LC2i the clipping light comes on, my amp accepts 8 volt inputs and the LC2i at max is 8.5 volts, so at 1/4 way up, sound is low. At 8/10ths up on LC2i, sounds better but had to turn amp gains up around 30% and still seems like I am only getting 1/2 the output I should. When using accubass, I just find it random gets loud out of blue and I feel the bass sounds odd. Could it be I have both inputs from the alpine sub outputs going into the LC2i, seen on BMW forum people having issues when using both inputs. I turned accubass off, turned gain on amp up a little, but I know there is a lot more output to be had, just taking it slow to not fry anything.
