2013 ram RT side mirros

I have a 2013 ram express with the regular side mirrors. I bought The RT side mirrors which come with turn signal and puddle light. As soon as I installed them my check engine light came on. I'm suppose to take off the sensor off my original side mirrors. Does anyone know how to take out the whole sensor with the cable so I could install on my new side mirrors?

nearly positive that check engine and replacing a side mirror are totally unrelated.
what kind of sensor is in the old mirror that the new one wont have?

If you put the incorrect mirror on a 13 or higher Ram it can cause a check engine light due to the fact that the drivers side mirror has the external temp sensor. I would recomend selling the mirrors you have and installing the correct ones. I have heard of people wiring in the external temp sensor in an alternate location but I wouldn't recomend it. You would need to take your old mirror apart find a place to install the sensor and then run the wiring to the door module. Not worth it in my opinion.

I bint had installed sport mirrors on My 2015 Express....aside from getting the codes flashed to activate puddle lamps/turn signals, no "check engine light" here.

Then you installed the correct 2013 to 2015 mirror. He obviously installed a 2009 to 2012 mirror which has no external temp sensor and will set a code.
