2013 Uconnect issues

Just purchased this 2013 Ram 1500, it has the 5.0 RA2 radio I believe. I plug my iPhone into the usb and the radio claims there is no media device found. So I plug it into the AUX plug and the same. However I have been able to pair the phone and make and receive call using the radio.
Would like to be able to stream music. Any tips or ideas.

Thanks for reaching out. Can you confirm you're using an Apple manufactured cord to plug your iPhone in?

Yes using Apple cord. Also tried to do the update Uconnect 5.0 so I downloaded the update to a clean new flash drive and inserted it into the usb port and nothing happened. Dealer has been zero help.
