2014 2500 Cummins 4x4 SLT short bed, stock
Stock wheels, no bead lock
275/70/18 Cooper Discoverer ATP rear, older Adventurer in the front, all Load range E
Traveling to Big Bend NP (TX), plan on some light-med trails (no Black Gap,...yet)
A: Minimum air down for front/rear with no bead lock, taking weight of Cummins into consideration.
B: If I stay around 35-40 psi, any issues driving paved roads back to campground, unloaded/
Max speed in the park is 45. Distance to camp on pavement anywhere from 20-70 miles. Of course, I would air up all the way going home.
I do have a Viair 400p so I can air back up if needed, but if I plan on several days of trail riding, maybe I could avoid multiply air up/down as long as I stay in the park. High temp maybe low eighties while we are there.
C: driving as daily driver, no load, suggested pressures?
No serious rock crawling, just for softer ride and puncture avoidance, better traction. Most of the trails in Big Bend are high clearance issues, many doable in 2wd.
D:C: yes,I reset TPMS with AlphaOBD. That has already paid for itself (tow mirrors, etc.)
