Hey all,

Some clown with a trailer took off my driver side mirror and I need to replace it.

After searching the forums and what seems like every corner of the web, I cannot find exactly what part number I need. I found this part number - 68258571AD - but it seems that it has a corner marker. My mirrors have the lower puddle lamp / turn signal, not the corner marker.

My mirrors are heated, power adjust, power folding, with puddle lamp and turn signal. Textured black, not paint to match. Oh, and since driver side, it has the ambient temp sensor.

Does anyone know what part number I need to be searching for?

If it is too cost prohibitive to get a new single mirror, are there decent mirror pairs out there?

Attaching a shot of my existing mirror as well.

Thanks guys!

I try to avoid the dealership as much as possible. Figure someone around here probably knows the info I need off the top of their heads :)

If no one comes up with something, I’ll give them a call. I figure that they are going to want like $500 for the mirror or something ridiculous.

My deductible is too high for that. I appreciate the thought though. Plus, did not get a police report at the time.

Put your VIN # in at www.onlinemoparparts.com. It should list all the possible mirrors for your year & model, then pick the one with the features you had.

Appreciate it Kad.

I was able to end up using this MY2018 Catalog to figure out what the specific sales codes meant, like GUK, GT6, GU4, etc. Determined that mine was GUK, then was able to track down the model number for GUK using a site similar to that. Which is 68231241AI.

However, I am finding that these are about $500 per :/ For that price, may have to check out some of these towing mirror alternatives.

Yeah, they are not cheap. I have the TrailRidge Power Folding Tow mirrors from 1AAuto on my express and I'm very happy with them.

Ahhh good to know. I was looking at those earlier.

Did you buy the support bracket? Saw that some folks bought them, and others did not.

Yes, I did. I got them from MOP. The tow mirrors are a lot heavier than the regular ones and, imo, need the extra support. Be sure to get the riv-nuts to attach them as well. Here's the part numbers for them in case you need them.

Right Bracket 68078242AA
Left Bracket 68078243AA
Nut Rivit (6) 6507161AA

You are a lifesaver, man! Thanks again. I just put all of those in my cart. They are proud of those Riv-Nuts at $4/piece. However, would much rather have the new mirrors properly secured.

Time to pull the trigger on all of this I guess. Go back to having functional mirrors again!

Meant to reply to this post the other day. Thanks Quiet. Appreciate the suggestion. I did check Craigslist and FB after you suggested that. I did find a few on eBay, but they were still about $275-$300. For that price, figure that I may as well spend a bit more and get the tow mirrors!

Good news - Got the mirrors installed yesterday. They turned out great! However, it was getting dark as I was finishing up the second mirror, so in my haste to get it done, i sheared off a mounting bolt :/ and didn’t get a finish pic.

Otherwise, install was pretty easy once I had everything I needed (last minute HD trip for some screws). The mirrors worked great driving around last night, no problems with retaining all factory functions of my stock mirrors - puddle lamps, turn signal, power adjust, power fold.

Biggest pain on this (besides shearing a freaking bolt) was trying to get the door panels reset on their clips. That took a dang minute!

Attaching a few install pics in case anyone stumbles on this thread later! Will put some finished pics up at some point too.

6 T20 screws circled around outside of door. Once unscrewed, pop the female portion out too with a flathead or knife.
One Phillips screw behind the door handle. Will need to use a small flathead or knife to pop out plastic cover behind handle before getting to screw.

Location of 3 Rivnut holes on each side. Passenger side is mirrored. If you need help with these, google Rivnut Ram install and you should find another site that has a great way to install them using an M6 screw and a M7 nut.

Hate to be that guy.... but I don’t have 50 forum posts to post in the For Sale Section and I was already active in this thread.... if this is horribly inappropriate, mods please delete.

So if anyone wants the non-broken Passenger side mirror, it’s yours for $100 shipped. I’ll even throw in the broken driver one if you want it for some reason.

Came off 2014 LoneStar. Good condition, no cracks whatsoever.

Power fold, non tow, turn signal and heated!

Part number: (P)68231240AB

Thanks to all of you, I just installed my new tow mirrors. Went a lot quicker than I thought. Hardest part is getting the rivnuts in and it isn't that hard, though I found out it's a lot easier using power tools to install them.
