2014 fuel sensor

Why is Dodge not recalling the fuel pump or fuel sensor on 2014 ram trucks. Mine as well as many others fail to read fuel level after it gets down to half a tank. Also the eco mode won’t work it the fuel sensor in failed. Dealer told me about 700 bucks to fix.

this recently happened to my 2014 sport. the dealer just changes the fuel pump. Mine was covered under extended warranty. You maybe able to save a few bucks if you did it yourself.

Recalls are only for immediate safety issues. A faulty fuel level sensor isn’t something is really a safety concern.

As well the eco mode light only means your currently driving in an eco manner. It’s not a separate driving mode or anything like that. Anytime the CEL is on the eco light will not illuminate.
